Putnam County Jail

One person was booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Robert Howard, 48, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday for violation of home detention.

One accident was investigated recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

* On May 10 at 1:05 p.m., Rosemarie Stevens, 72, Amo, pulled out of a gravel lot on the north side of US 40 just west of S.R. 75. She said she was crossing the westbound lanes to access the eastbound lane and failed to see Robert Ridgeway, 38, Plainfield. Ridgeway was unable to avoid the collision and hit Stevens on the front driver's side.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

Clarification

Regarding Wednesday's drug bust story, no explosives or drugs were found at the resident of Thomas Garrett. The story read none were found at Victor Lee's residence.
