Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Jeremy Martin, 25, Brazil, was booked Friday at 6:32 p.m. for operating while suspended, theft, failure to stop and burglary.

* Robert Williams, 31, North Salem, was booked at 11:36 p.m. for operating while intoxicated.

* Patrick Burner, 20, Crawfordsville, was booked on Saturday at 3:31 a.m. for possession of alcohol by a minor, disorderly conduct and operating while intoxicated.

* Eric Hoffa, 18, Crawfordsville, was booked at 4:09 a.m. for public intoxication and possession of alcohol by a minor.

* Sherrie Cave, 38, Greencastle, was booked at 4:56 a.m. for public intoxication, operating while intoxicated.

* Anthony Traylor, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 7:10 a.m. for possession of alcohol by a minor.

* Andrew Wilson, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 11:37 p.m. for public intoxication.

* Brent Polster, 26, Poland, was booked at 3:55 a.m. on Sunday for driving while suspended and failure to appear.

* Robert Snowden, 36, Indianapolis, was booked at 6:14 p.m. for failure to appear.

* Jeremy Martin, 25, Brazil, was booked at 7:54 p.m. for operating while suspended, theft, failure to stop after an accident and burglary.

* Kindred McClure, 19, Corpus Christi, Texas, was booked at 8:53 p.m. for theft.

* Michael Hanlon, 46, Speedway, was booked at 10:24 p.m. for parole violation.

* Phillip Jobe, 23, Cloverdale, was booked at 11:26 a.m. Monday as part of a petition to revoke probation.

* Jason Wade, 34, Martinsville, was booked at 12:05 p.m. for failure to appear.

Sheriff's Dept.

Two accidents were investigated recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

* On May 11 at 1:17 a.m., Nicole Masters, 21, Cloverdale, was east bound on S.R. 42 when she failed to negotiate a curve.

She crossed into the oncoming lane and entered a yard where she struck a utility pole.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

* On May 16 at 6:50 p.m., Jason Ridgeway, 23, Greencastle, ran off the roadway on C.R. 1000 North and fled the scene.

A witness said Ridgeway returned with some friends to try to push the vehicle out and the officer noticed him drive by while on scene but failed to stop. No contact could be made with Ridgeway.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.
