To the editor:

Heartland Automotive would like to express their gratitude to so many who made donations to our Relay for Life team.

These gracious supporters helped raise money for American Cancer Society's 2008 Putnam County Relay for Life. Heartland's Relay for Life team cannot express how grateful we are for your shared compassion in a movement that has touched our hearts personally at Heartland.

Along with these companies and individuals we were able to raise an enormous amount of money to help fight back against cancer. Heartland would like to thank: US Paint, Fashion Bug, American Red Cross, Hibbitt Sports, David Vanatti, Don Vandevender, Fastenal, Clover Meadows Golf Course, Cross Cuts, Aramark, Old Hickory Golf Course, Extreme Tanning, MJ Insurance, Banner Graphic, Auto Zone, Radio Shack, Greencastle Wal-mart, Allen Seward and family, Indianapolis Indians, York Pontiac, Caldron Brothers Vending, Old Toppers.

Also, Almost Home, Superwash Car Wash, Greencastle Taco Bell, Advance Composites, Greencastle KFC, Greencastle Pizza Hut, Headly Hardware, Moores Bar, Mikes Express Car Wash, Alex Alleys, PMI, American Legion Post #58, Galaxy Associates, MSI, Alro Steel, Greencastle Arby's, Bill O'Brien, Bev Neumann; Pure Romance, Devine Design, Terre Haute Beef O Bradys, Greencastle Curves, Sullivans Tire, Putnam Inn, Greencastle Marathon Gas Station, Brazil McDonalds, the anonymous Colts Blanket donor.

And, Tony Austin, Jackson's Family Restaurant Double Decker Drive In, Greencastle Papa Johns, Greencastle Papa Murphys, Wal-Mart Subway, Hair Hut, Finch Enterprize, Plainfield Gym, Logans Steakhouse, Maria Alexandar, Kenneth Axsom, Midwest Transport Inc, Securitas Security Services and all the Heartland Associates who participated in the bake sales, raffles and candy sales.

Also special thanks to our retired "angels" who helped with the bake sales, those team members who helped set up and held on while the wind blew and those who showed up in the early morning hours to walk when the rest of us were tired.

Thanks to all the Heartland Associates who never hesitated to give, not only monetary gifts but of themselves, to help find a cure.

Those who pulled out all the stops by calling everyone they knew would give and asked for donations.

Thank you in not enough for the generosity, given by so many.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
