Laura A. West

Laura A. West, 47, of Greencastle, died Friday afternoon at St. Vincent Hospice after a battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Putnam County on July 8, 1960. She had worked at RR Donnelly Co. for 20 years, most recently as a pre-press tech.

Survivors include her husband, Greg West; sons, Ron Hayes, Lafayette, Don Hayes, Greencastle, James Robert Hayes, Crawfordsville, William Hayes, Crawfordsville, and Kyle W. West, Tallahassee, Fla.; mother, Joann Tharp, Greencastle; three grandchildren; brother, Scott Tharp, Greencastle; and sister, Joyce Morgan, Rockville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Royal Noble Tharp and a brother, James William Kelly.

Services will be held at noon Wednesday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle, with burial to follow at Deer Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
