Ninth annual June Jubilee planned next week

The North Putnam High School band parents are sponsoring the 9th Annual June Jubilee at the high school Saturday, June 14 with proceeds benefiting the NPHS band.

Highlight of the day is the car show, which includes six categories. Prizes will be given for original, modified, custom, other classes, motorcycle and specialty awards.

The original category includes Chevy, Ford, Mopar, other GM and Muscle cars from 1964-72.

Modified includes pre 1964 and modified 1964-81.

Custom includes street rods that are pre 1948 and custom street machines.

Other classes include post 1982 restored, truck and tuner cars.

Motorcycles include the American Sport, Cruiser and foreign models.

Specialty awards will be given for best paint, best interior, best engine, people's choice, director's choice, best of show, best work in progress, best unrestored and best foreign car.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the June 14. Those who wish to pre-register will pay a fee of $10. Cost on the day of the show is $15. Registration forms and checks should be mailed to Pat Beams, 1357 W. CR?1000 North, Roachdale, IN 46172.

Please include name, phone, vehicle make, model and year and category.

Awards will be based on a 100-point system and will be presented at approximately 5 p.m.

Other events during the day include an all-day hog roast, music, 50-50 drawing, games, door prizes, special attractions, dash plaques and vendors. Concessions will be available for breakfast.
