DAVID BROOKS of Greencastle was named to the spring 2008 dean's list at Taylor University. Brooks just completed his sophomore year at Taylor, where he is majoring in history. He is a Greencastle High School graduate.

HEATHER ANN CREGO, the daughter of Holbert and Diana Nickerson of Cloverdale, graduated from Franklin College on May 17 with a biology major and a chemistry minor.

AMANDA LYNN BOLLMAN of Greencastle was among 589 graduating students who received diplomas at DePauw University's 169th commencement on May 18.

Bollman received a bachelor of arts degree. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff A. Bollman, and graduated from South Putnam High School in 2004.

WAYLON WILLIE HIGGINS, the son and Jerry and Sandy Haltom of Cloverdale, graduated cum laude from Franklin College on May 17 with a major in political science and a minor in history.

MARTY GLENN YOUNG, the son of Marty and Sandy Young of Norman, graduated from Franklin College on May 17 with an elementary education major.

ROBERT BENNETT of Greencastle was named to the dean's list for the last quarter at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Bennett, a junior, is the son of Patricia Bennett.

NEAL ALLEN KNAPP of Roachdale was one of 589 graduating students who received degrees at DePauw University's 169th commencement on May 18.

Knapp received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest D. Knapp, and graduated from North Putnam High School in 2004.

CHRISTIAN LEE PITTS recently graduated "Cum Laude" from Indiana State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary and Special Education. She is a graduate of South Putnam High School, and the daughter of Richard and Sue Pitts, Greencastle.

DANIEL WILLIAMS of Cloverdale was named to the dean's list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for the last quarter.

Williams, a senior, is the son and Kenneth and Jayne Williams.

JANESSA COLE was named to the Sprint 2008 Dean's List at Taylor University. She is a senior majoring in Music Education and is a graduate of Cloverdale Junior-Senior High School, Cloverdale.

LINDSEY MEKAYLA BRANSON, Bainbridge, daughter of Todd and Carmen Branson was one of 303 Phillips Academy seniors who graduated Sunday, June 8 in a commencement ceremony. Branson was active in volleyball, lacrosse, Blue Key Society, Dorm Proctor, FLG Cluster Officer, Community Service (Little Angels, ARC, ESL, CHILL and Pen pals), African Student Union co0founder/president and Russian Club.

She will attend DePauw University in the fall and plans to study International Relations and Biology.

GREGORY ELLIS of Cloverdale was named to the dean's list last quarter at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Ellis, a senior, is the son of Donna Duncan and Jay Ellis.

The Indiana Shropshire Association selected CAROL JEFFRIES, Rockville as the 2008 Indiana Shropshire Queen. She is a junior at Rockville Junior-Senior High School and is the daughter of Keith and Jan Jeffries of Rockville; granddaughter of Maurice and Darlene Fordice of Russellville and Bill and Dorothy Jeffries of Rockville.

The Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy announces that JEREMY JOSEPH SILKO is a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Physics and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He is the son of Nancy and Henry Thomas, Greencastle and Jeff and Roxanna Silko, Clayton.

AREN WILSON-WRIGHT has been named to the dean's list at the Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences for the spring 2008 semester. The dean's list is reserved for those students who complete at least 12 graded credit hours in a single semester and earn at least a 3.70 grade point average.

Cassandra Davis of Cloverdale is the recipient of a $1,500 scholarship from the Scholarships for Military Children program.

Davis is the daughter of Cynthia Jo Davis. She plans to attend Manchester College. Her high school and community activities include Future Farmers of America, student council, National Honor Society, cross country and tennis.

TONYA M. ASBURY of Cloverdale was named to the dean's list at Marion College for the spring 2008 semester. To obtain this designation, a student must complete at least 12 semester hours and maintain a 3.5 grade point average. Asbury is a management major.

KATE MARTIN of Greencastle was named to the dean's list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology last quarter. Martin, a senior, is the daughter of Sally Jo and Mike Martin.

BRIAN BARNES of Greencastle and LUKE STEVENSON of Coatesville were among those who completed their degrees from the University of Evansville on May 10.
