Young Greeson old hand at horse show

Horse and Pony Show contestant Jenna Greeson took a moment to pose with her buckskin horse "Josie" at the Putnam County Fair Tuesday morning.

North Putnam High School freshman Jenna Greeson has been showing horses since she was eight years old and the love she has for her five-year-old Buckskin horse "Josie" shines in her eyes.

The 14-year-old also shows another horse, Chico, an Appaloosa and is involved in Vet Science in 4-H.

The talkative teen likes coming to horse shows and enjoys meeting people.

"I get to know people from all over. I have a bunch of friends from all over the county and I get to see them all here," she said.

Her father Dale Greeson jokingly says her horse "Josie" is the next "Seattle Slew."

"You are looking at the next winner. This is the next Seattle Slew with a little dirt on her hindquarters," he laughs.

The obviously proud father was nearby with mom Jennifer as Jenna exercised her horse before showing her in the Horse and Pony Show Tuesday morning at the Putnam County Fair.
