Two F.B. Distro employees were recently awarded laptop computers to use as they are off serving in the military. Pictured are Anita Miller, Andrew Muncie, Jason Short and Dave Keller.

Two local workers were recently given a special send-off as they prepare to leave for military service.

Fashion Bug Distribution (F.B. Distro) in Greencastle had a special meeting Thursday morning to surprise both Andrew Muncie, Brazil, and Jason Short, Greencastle.

The theme for the celebration was "We Salute You" where employees wore patriotic attire and were given cake.

Muncie is an E-4 Specialist in the Indiana Army National Guard and will be reporting to Fort Lee, Va. Then in January he will be mobilized to Iraq. However, due to the nature of the deployment, no destination can be given. F.B. Distro has employed him for two years.

Short recently enlisted in the National Guard. He will be going off to Fort Benning, Ga. on Aug. 4 to begin his basic training. He currently holds the rank of E-3 Private First Class.

He has enlisted for eight years and after basic training will report for a 16-week training in San Antonio, Texas to become a healthcare specialist. His goal is to become a flight medic. F.B. Distro has employed Short for two-and-a-half years.

The pair were both given laptops by F.B. Distro so they can keep in contact with friends and family back home while they are away. The special meeting took both by complete surprise but they were grateful none-the-less.

Both will have their current positions with F.B. Distro waiting for them upon their return.

  • It is so awesome beyond words to physically see the community support and stand behind these local troops. It's not all about gifts, though appreciated...but something much more. It can't be explained, I guess you just have to experience the military to understand...right guys?! As a military wife myself, I am proud of you guys and wish you the best. Without doubt, you have unconditional support and prayers back here at home on the homefront.
