Sean Rhine

2008 CHS graduate Sean Rhine was recently named Honorable Mention Academic All-State in golf. Rhine was one of only 32 high school golfers in the state to be considered for Academic All-State honors.

The average GPA of those recognized was 4.04, and the average class rank was ninth and included five salutatorians.

"This is a great honor for Sean, and is a fitting finish to a great high school career," said Clover golf coach Doug Wokoun. "It is really difficult to manage the academics necessary just to qualify for consideration. When you take into account the outstanding golfer that Sean is, this honor becomes even more special."

Rhine is the second Clover golfer in the last three seasons to receive this distinction. Kyle Faletic was named honorable mention two years ago.

Rhine will be continuing his education at Franklin College this fall. He will also be a member of the golf team at Franklin.
