Guila Elmore

Guila Eloise Elmore, 94, of Bloomington, formerly of Cataract, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 at Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center, Ellettsville.

Born May 25, 1914, in Cataract, she was the daughter of Jacob Lemuel and Lora Belle (Knoll) Smith. She married Charles Albert Elmore and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1995.

She was a vault teller at First National Bank, Bloomington and member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Bloomington. She was a graduate of Bloomington Business College.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Dixon Whipple and husband Berkley, of Bloomington; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Audra Day and Nina G. Smith, a grandson and son-in-law.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Calling is noon until service time Monday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
