Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

Joel Kilgore, 25, Greencastle, was booked at 2:51 p.m. Thursday for theft.

Brandon Campbell, 25, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:26 a.m. Friday for public intoxication, operating per se and operating while intoxicated.

Cody Gibson, 23, Bainbridge, was booked at 2:16 a.m. for public intoxication.

Zachary Lightner, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 2:43 a.m. Saturday for operating while intoxicated.

Cody Duncan, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 4:34 a.m. for battery with bodily injury and disorderly conduct.

Richard Waggoner, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 4:47 a.m. for battery with bodily injury and disorderly conduct.

Edward Kidwell, 19, Indianapolis, was booked at 12:26 p.m. for mischief.

Shawn Christianson, 36, Greencastle, was booked at 12:02 a.m. Sunday for resisting law enforcement and domestic battery.

Thomas Schneider, 21, Fillmore, was booked at 12:18 a.m. for operating while intoxicated.

David Ferry, 25, Nachez, Miss., was booked at 2:05 a.m. for public intoxication, reckless driving, operating per se and operating while intoxicated.

Michael Dismukes, 42, Greencastle, was booked at 12:57 p.m. for operating while intoxicated.

Latha Denny, 40, Greencastle, was booked at 3:28 p.m. for operating while intoxicated.

Starisa Vaden, 19, Indianapolis, was booked at 11:47 a.m. Monday for false reporting or informing and operating a motor vehicle never having possessed a license.

Eric Huber, 18, Bainbridge, was booked at 12:35 p.m. for possession of marijuana.

Levi Runnells, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 1:02 p.m. for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance and maintaining and common nuisance.

Sheriff's Department

Several accident reports were turned in at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

On July 9 at 5:20 p.m. Charetta Coffman, 26, Roachdale, was traveling on S.R. 236 East when a deer ran in front on her and she was unable to avoid hitting it.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

On July 22 at 9 p.m. Andrew Begdoll, 17, Greencastle, was northbound on U.S. 231 near Edgelea Dr. and was unaware that Joshua Christian, 26, Greencastle, had stopped and rear-ended him.

Damage was estimated between $750 - $2,500.

On July 30 at 7:25 p.m. Michael Baxter, 60, Greenwood, was on U.S. 36 East when a deer ran in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting it.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

On Aug. 4 at 3:35 p.m. Judith Overshiner, 58, Greencastle, was stopped on U.S. 231 near C.R. 300 South trying to turn into a private drive while Michael Hadar, 25, Greenwood, struck her from behind causing her car to go into a ditch and roll over on its top.

Damage was estimated between $10,000 - $25,000.
