Clover golf places second at Northview
BRAZIL -- The Cloverdale girls' golf team continued its early season improvement in a four-way match at Forest Park Golf Course Thursday. Three of the four Clovers had career-best scores on their way to a second-place finish in the match.
Northview won with a 177, while the Clovers were second at 215. Linton was third with a 230, and White River Valley placed fourth at 248.
Elizabeth Wiley broke 50 for the first time, as she led the Clovers with a 45. Kayla Langdon was close behind with a 46.
Victoria Boyette and Erica Looper also had the best scores of their young careers, with Boyette firing a 56 and Looper a 68.
The Clovers are back in action at 4 p.m. Monday when they travel to Oak Ridge to face South Putnam.
