Annual Russeller's Roundup this week

The annual Russeller's Roundup is Sept. 5, 6, and 7.

A play titled "Steel Magnolias" will be presented at the Russellville Church Fellowship Hall on Friday at 7 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday fish, tenderloin, sloppy joe, hot dogs, coneys, salads, homemade pie, drinks, cotton candy, snow cones, and lemonade shakeups will be available to purchase.

Entertainment will be going on all day including craft booths, petting zoo, tractors, contests, drawings and games.

Breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Linda Nelson's homemade cinnamon rolls will be the featured item along with sausage gravy, biscuits and scrambled eggs. Lunch and supper will be served the rest of the day.

The baby contest is Saturday for ages 0-2, Little Mr. and Miss is ages 3-6. To preregister for this, contact Darrell Wiatt at 435-2701. If entering either contest, plan to arrive before the starting time of 10 a.m. The contest will be in the gymnasium.

Children's games will be at 11 a.m. The children's tractor pull will be at 12:15 on Saturday. The highlight of the festival will be Blair Carmen and the Belleview Boys. This is free entertainment at its best. They will perform from 2-4 p.m. in the gym.

Sunday starts with breakfast again, followed by car show registration from 10 a.m. to noon. Church service is at 11 a.m.

Entertainment for the afternoon will be the car show at the park, another presentation of "Steel Magnolias" at the church at 2 p.m. and Jim and Del Hamann will be providing music for all occasions at the community center in the afternoon. The festival will end with a parade at 4:30 p.m.

Craft venders are invited to attend and set up booths. Volunteers are also needed to help with this event.
