Lady Tiger Cub golf falls to Patriots

TERRE HAUTE -- The Greencastle girls' golf team lost to Terre Haute North 191-219 at Hulman Links Tuesday night.

Chelsea Samuels was Greencastle's top performer shooting a 45.

Diane Wokoun was next for the Tiger Cubs shooting a 52, which was her personal best score.

"She got off to a bad start with three triple and one quadruple bogies, but had the strongest finish of her career with greens in regulation on each of the last three holes," said GHS coach Brad Kingma.

Kay Wood finished third for the Tiger Cubs with a 60, and Katie Hedge finished it off with a 62.

"I thought we played decent tonight, all of the girls but Katie shot better than their averages on a tough course," Kingma said. "Errant shots get swallowed up on this course and she had to take a number of penalties".

Greencastle travels to Owen Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
