Cellular Connection opens in Greencastle

Chamber ambassadors and board members welcomed the Cellular Connection store, which opened the first of August in the Wal-Mart Plaza.

The Greencastle Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon cutting at the new store which features Verizon Wireless and Dish Network.

Cellular Connection is the largest Verizon Wireless premium agent in the Midwest with over 130 locations in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin.

Moorehead Communications is the mother company of Cellular Connection. Located in Marion, Ind. the company began as Interconnect company selling and installing business telephone systems, and as a distributor for Ameritech's Centrex service. In 1990 Moorehead became an Authorized GTE Wireless Agent and in 1991 the cellular division Cellular Connection was born.

The company placed 11 out of the top 100 best companies to work for in Indiana's Large Companies division. The company acknowledges they have the finest team of employees in the industry and they owe their success to its management and staff.
