Eagle cross country splits with Warriors
The South Putnam cross country teams split with Danville Wednesday night at home, with the boys' taking their meet 27-30. The Eagle girls fell to the Warriors 18-42.
Tyler Heavin led the Eagles, finishing second in a time of 19:22.
Danville's Dan Haak won with a time of 18:56.
Andrew Northrup was next for the Eagles in fourth, followed by Paul Rubino in seventh. Dylan Hayes and Tanner Barr were just behind in seventh and eighth, respectively.
For the Lady Eagles, Maddie Marsteller was third with a time of 24:40.
Brittany Fitzpatrick was next in seventh, followed by Mikayla Cherry in ninth. Brittany Cox placed 14th, and Robbie Urton was 15th.
The Warriors' Brianna Deckard was first in 22:39.
The Eagles travel to the Clay City Invitational at 5 p.m. today.
