Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

Steven Lucas, 32, Greencastle, was booked at 3:34 p.m. Tuesday for a petition to revoke probation.

David Albietz, 25, Cloverdale, was booked at 5:40 p.m. for possession of paraphernalia, burglary and theft.

John Hillenburg, 29, Indianapolis, was booked at 10:20 p.m. for operating while suspended or revoked.

Garry Rigney, 27, Greencastle, was booked at 11:55 p.m. for domestic battery.

Warren Smith, 23, Brazil, was booked at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday for battery, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Sheriff's Department

One accident report was turned in at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department recently.

On Sept. 10 at 6:50 a.m., Logan Wilks, 20, Greencastle, was stopped on US 231 ready to turn onto I-70. When he proceeded into the turn, Carl Gierke, 60, Cloverdale, ran into him.

Damage was estimated between $10,000 - $25,000.
