CLAYTON -- Kayla Langdon was the co-medalist as Cloverdale finished third Wednesday night to Cascade and Owen Valley at Deer Creek.

Langdon was the co-medalist along with Ashley Marsh from Owen Valley, with both scoring a 44.

"Kayla had a solid round and is peaking at the right time," said head coach Ken Williams. This was Langdon's fifth medalist of the season. She had one birdie, two pars, and four bogies.

Elizabeth Wiley finished second for the Clovers with a score of 53, followed by Victoria Boyette with a 61, and Erica Looper rounded it off with a 71 for the Clovers.

Williams thinks his veteran players are ready for the big upcoming meets.

"Elizabeth has rebounded in the last week and had seven pretty good holes before going seven over par on the last two holes. I think Kayla and Elizabeth are ready for the big meets coming up," Williams said.

The coach's younger players still have some improving to do for the upcoming meets.

"Victoria and Erica both had some good holes but were too inconsistent with their ball striking," said Williams.

The Clovers return to Deer Creek for the WCC meet at 11 a.m. Saturday.
