Paul T. "Pim" Insley Jr., 80, of Rockville, passed away at 2:07 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born Aug. 27, 1928 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, the son of Paul T. Insley Sr. and Sarah Aeschlimann Insley.

He was a pharmacist in Rockville for many years. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Rockville, past member of Rockville Masonic Lodge, Rockville Elks, Moose Lodge and the Brazil Rotary Club.

He was also a member of the Parke County Chamber of Commerce and graduated from Butler University with a degree in Pharmacy. He was a Sergant in the U.S. Army. He also served on the Sheriff's Merit Board, Parke County Health Board, Board of Human Resources for C.A.R.S., past member of the Rockville Town Board and past member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.

He is survived by his wife, Amy E. Saathoff Insley whom he married on Oct. 15, 1955, of Rockville; two daughters and son-in-law, Paula Insley Miller and husband Steven P. Miller of Chicago, and Kathleen Insley Hawkins and husband Joseph A. Hawkins, of Rockville; son Paul Tracy Insley III and wife Mary E. Gregg Insley, of Rockville; six granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Ellen Insley Olson.

Per his wishes, cremation was chosen. Private burial of his ashes will be at a later date at Memory Garden Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Butler Funeral Home in Rockville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paul T. Insley Jr. Memorial of the Parke County Community Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
