Clovers fall to Rockville

ROCKVILLE--The Cloverdale varsity volleyball team lost to the Rockville Rox Monday night 25-22, 25-16, 21-25, 25-23, to bring their record to 13-5, and 3-1 in the WCC.

The leading scorer for the Clovers was Kayla Shepherd with 16 points, who also led in aces with six. Next for the Clovers was Maria Skiles with eight points, and also had two aces.

Kaileigh Sparks had seven points, and led in assists with nine. Allie Franklin led the Clovers in kills with six, and in digs with 12.

"The Rox have the toughest, hardest hitting middle we have seen so far this season," said head coach Kathy Moore. " We just didn't have an answer for her most of the night, despite getting some blocks on her."

The Cloverdale JV team lost in two games by the score of 25-24, 25-19.
