Putnam County Jail

The following individuals were booked in to the Putnam County Jail.

Spencer A. Garrett, 59, Piasa, Ill., arrested Sept. 22 for operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated .15 or more.

Randy Aaron Sawyer, 38, Cloverdale, arrested Sept. 22 for misdemeanor violation of firearms act and felony possession of methamphetamine.

James Lee Blankenship, 23, Poland, arrested Spet. 23 on two petitions to revoke probation.

Donal K. Martin, 39, Poland, arrested Sept. 23 on a court order.

Andrew Douglas O'Hair, 20, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 23 on a petition to revoke probation.

Andrew S. Fenner, 20, Hilsboro, Ohio, arrested Sept. 23 for misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Francisco Zapata, 51, Indianapolis, arrested Sept. 23 for misdemeanor public intoxication and operating while intoxicated endangering a person.

Daniel Packer Moulton, 50, Cloverdale, arrested Sept. 23 for felony domestic battery with a previous unrelated conviction for domestic battery.

Crystal Gail Morphew, 28, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 23 on a court order.

Jonathon Zimmerman, 29, Brownsburg, arrested Sept. 23 for contempt of court.

Larry Wayne Hook, 40, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 23 for misdemeanor operating while suspended or revoked and failure to stop after damage to property other than a vehicle.

Tom H. Tomlinson, 30, Avon, arrested Sept. 24 for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Danielle Elise Sanford, 22, Fillmore, arrested Sept. 24 for misdemeanor operating with a blood alcohol content of .15 percent or more and public intoxication.

Autumn Dawn Burger, 22, Coatesville, arrested Sept. 24 for misdemeanor public intoxication.

Paul A. Compton, 39, Terre Haute, arrested Sept. 25 for misdemeanor operating while suspended or revoked.

Donovan R. Borders, 25, Bowling Green, Ky., arrested Sept. 26 for misdemeanor public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Eric Donald Dickerson, 23, Indianapolis, arrested Sept. 26 for felony non-support of a child.

Alisha Diana Cramer, 27, Indianapolis, arrested Sept. 26 for two petitions to revoke probation.

James Michael Kimmel, 27, Ladoga, arrested Sept. 26 for felony violation of home detention.

Michael Below, 27, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 26 for felony violation of home detention and neglect of a dependent and misdemeanor criminal recklessness.

Brock H. Pollett, 33, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 26 for contempt of court.

Dawn Michelle Head, 20, Brazil, arrested Sept. 26 for felony non-support of a child.

Richard Joseph Carrico, 29, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 26 for misdemeanor public intoxication.

Thomas Maloney, 18, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 27 for misdemeanor possession of alcohol by a minor and public intoxication.

Joseph S. Finley, 37, Columbia, Miss., arrested Sept. 27 for felony operating while intoxicated and misdemeanor public intoxication and operating while intoxicated.

Donald D. Jubar, 25, Mio, Mich., arrested Sept. 27 for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Thomas Robert Louis, 38, Indianapolis, arrested Sept. 27 for misdemeanor failure to stop after damage to property other than a vehicle, operating while suspended or revoked, public intoxication and operating while intoxicated.

Alexander Grant Sample, 21, Spring, Texas, arrested Sept. 28 for misdemeanor public intoxication.

Eric Layton Kortz, 25, Rochester, arrested Sept. 28 for misdemeanor operating a vehicle having never received a license and operating while intoxicated.

Bobby Gene Standifer, 18, Poland, arrested Sept. 28 for misdemeanor operating while suspended or revoked as a result of an offense and reckless driving.

Joseph Ivan Schloegl, 31, Mooreland, arrested Sept. 29 for felony burglary.

Robert Edward Haney, 25, Indianapolis, arrested Sept. 29 for felony burglary and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Ciera Nicole Pedrey, 20, Roachdale, arrested Sept. 29 on a petition to revoke probation.

Michelle Lynn Scott, 29, Indianapolis, arrested Sept. 29 for misdemeanor failure to appear.

Jesse Dane Burris, 24, Greencastle, arrested Sept. 29 for misdemeanor battery and criminal trespass.

Paul Brian Quates, 41, Magnolia, Ala., arrested Sept. 29 for felony non-support of a child.

Dana Darlene Smith, 44, Cape Girardeau, Mo., arrested Sept. 30 for misdemeanor operating while intoxicated.

Sheriff's Department

The following accident reports were turned in at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

On Sept. 29 at 1:09 p.m., Sarah H. Morgan, 27, of Reelsville was westbound on C.R. 1100S approaching a sharp curve. She lost control of her vehicle and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to go off the left side of the roadway and strike an embankment.

The vehicle rolled over one and landed on its tired. Morgan was not injured.

On Sept. 27 at 9:31 p.m., Robert L. Thomas of Indianapolis was headed eastbound on U.S. 36 when he hit a power pole. Thomas than proceeded westbound and was stopped by Putnam County Sheriff's Department officers before being taken to Putnam County Jail.

On Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m., Helen J. Edmonson, 68, of Cloverdale was exiting a public parking lot on U.S. 31 near U.S. 36 West in Bainbridge when she struck a vehicle driven by Marcella R. Norton, 17, of Crawfordsville.

Edmonson told officers she attempted to avoid hitting Norton's vehicle.

Neither driver was injured.

On Sept. 23 at 5:30 p.m., Larry W. Hook, 40, of Greencastle was eastbound on U.S. 36 just east of C.R. 775W when he ran off the north side of the roadway.

Hook struck the west end of a guardrail, causing heavy damage to it and his vehicle.

On Sept. 23 at 2:22 p.m., Joe Harper III, 50, of Amo was traveling west on C.R. 800S when he left the south side of the roadway, crossed into a yard and rolled his semi over on the north side of the roadway.

Harper told officers he was distracted with work and thinking about how many loads he had hauled in the day when he became confused about his location.

On Sept. 22, William C. Downs, 52, of Crawfordsville was northbound on C.R. 400W when he ran over a metal bar, which gave him a flat tire and caused him to run off the roadway and hit a fencepost.

On Sept. 22, Keil Sargent, 26, of Greencastle was northbound on C.R. 625E on his way to work.

Sargent told officers he thought he was using a shortcut, which turned out to be dead end. He did not see a roadblock in time to avoid hitting it.

Sargent was able to drive away from the scene.

On Sept. 20, Thomas M. Brashear, 59, of Palistine was turning right onto C.R. 900S but was not in the turn lane he thought he was. Brashear was sideswiped by Christopher B. James, 36, if Clymer.

Neither driver was injured.

On Sept. 13, Christopher C. Bowman, 21, of Brazil was traveling southbound on C.R. 400W just south of C.R. 550S when a deer ran out into the roadway, striking the driver's side front end of his 2001 Ford truck.

Bowman was not injured.
