Herbert Inglert II, 89, of Cloverdale, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at The Waters of Greencastle.

Born on Feb. 8, 1919, he was the son of Herbert and Juanita (Pence) Inglert. He married Hettie Marie (Loy) Inglert on Nov. 20, 1961, and she preceded him in death on June 30, 1996.

He worked as a stereotypist for the Terre Haute Tribune-Star.

He was a member of Hanna Street Baptist Church in Greencastle and was a retired pastor, having served the Cuba Baptist Church and Wilderness Tabernacle.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherri Weddle and husband Ted, of Greencastle; two sons, Herbert Inglert III and wife Marie, of Greencastle, and Max and Angie Inglert, of Palmetto, Fla.; three sisters, Grace Branam, of Terre Haute, Wilma Inglert, of Terre Haute, and Jeannine Hoke, of Terre Haute; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Helen Carroll, of Mt. Meridian; step-children, Linda, Judy Drewella and Franklin Selig.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, with Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Calling is on Saturday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
