Greencastle continues to struggle in the 2008 volleyball season as they fell to Cascade in three games Wednesday night. The Tiger Cubs lost 16-25, 20-25 and 4-25, making its record 3-21 on the season.

"This was a difficult loss," Greencastle head coach Trish Lowe said. "We are struggling to develop some consistencies."

Brooke Lewis led GHS with 13 digs, three kills and six points, while Mallory Miller added 15 digs, five blocks and eight assists. Kayla Nobles added eight digs, one kill, one point and was seven-of-seven serving.

Braden Amis contributed two digs, three kills, nine blocks and an ace, with Chelsea Samuels adding 13 digs, four kills, 11 blocks and four points. Jordyn Lewis chipped in 12 digs, one point and three blocks and Kelsey Grzesiek added one dig, Brooke Buckner added three digs and Jessie Bennett added two digs and two points.

Lowe said that she was pleased with the effort of her squad in game two and how they didn't give in and continued to fight. The one thing she did say they needed to work on was the sense of being in the moment.

"We must realize the importance of getting after things," she said. "We must find some urgency."

The junior varsity also came up short, losing 25-23 and 25-7, running their record to 3-17.

Greencastle will travel to South Putnam at 6 p.m. today.
