Richard Burroff Sr.

Richard Lee Burroff Sr., 70, of Staunton, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born Feb. 10, 1938, in Russellville, the son of Armour and Susie Patterson Burroff. He married Dorene J. Farley and she preceded him in death on March 31, 1999.

He had been a tree surgeon for Asplaud-Townsend for several years and also had worked at Cook's Sawmill.

Survivors include his children, Richard L. Burroff Jr., of Staunton, Jessica Holderfield, of Indianapolis, Anita Marsh, of Greencastle, Malissa Prosser, of Coatesville; nine grandchildren; brothers, Joe, Bill, David and Bob Burroff, Larry and Jerry Patterson; and a sister, Sally Ralston.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hays Funeral Home, in Coatesville with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in New Winchester Cemetery.
