Rex E. DuBois, 86, of Patricksburg, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at the Residence at McCormick's Creek, Spencer.

Born April 9, 1922, in Shelburn, he was the son of Christian Nicholas and Stella Mae (McGranahan) DuBois. He married Ellen M. (Graves) DuBois on April 21, 1944, and she survives.

He was owner and operator of DuBois Lumber, Hardware and Sawmill, Bowling Green, Ind.

Additional survivors include daughters, Dorothy Skelton and husband Robert, of Clay City, Pamela Gwaltney and husband John, of Bowling Green, Carole Stewart and husband John, of Gosport, and Audrey Enyart and husband Donald, of Indianapolis; sons, Bruce DuBois and wife Judith, of Solsberry, Paul DuBois and wife Suzie, of Owensboro, Ky., and Lester DuBois, of Bowling Green; a brother, Carl DuBois and wife Isabelle, of Bowling Green; a daughter-in-law, Teresa A. DuBois, of Bowling Green; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dwight "Bud" Eugene DuBois, sisters Nellie Beatty, Lucy King and Bertha Fulk, brothers Elmer DuBois, Fred DuBois, Charlie DuBois and Ernest DuBois and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with burial following at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at the funeral home.
