Katherine Smith

Katherine A. Smith, 89, formerly of Roachdale, passed away at the Waters of Greencastle on Tuesday at 4:50 p.m.

She was born on Aug. 1, 1919 at Rockville to Calvin and Shalotta Martin Taylor. She married Everett Smith on Sept 12, 1940 at Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1974

She is survived by her daughter Nina Smith, of Bainbridge, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, Bernice Angleton, and two brothers, Burl and Wayne Taylor.

Arrangements are pending at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home at Roachdale.
