Friday, October 24, 2008

Officials at the Knoy Resource Center have announced that Cloverdale High School is now an official testing site for the SAT.

Nearly every college in America accepts the SAT or Subject Tests as a part of its admissions process.

According to the College Board, that's why more than two million students take the SAT every year. Cloverdale High School will be administering the SAT test on Dec. 6 and May 2 of this school year.

Students must register by Nov. 5 for the December test date to avoid a late registration fee.

Another Putnam County testing site is Greencastle High School who just recently administerd the SAT on October 4th and will again administer the test on June 6. Other nearby testing sites are at Plainfield, Northview, Mooresville, and Bloomington South High Schools.

The specific testing dates of these sites as well as others can be found at www.collegeboard.com. To help assist students on preparing for the SAT, the Knoy Resource Center offers SAT Prep classes.

The Language Arts class is on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and the Math class is on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon (excluding SAT test days).

For more information on how to register for the SAT test or for the SAT Prep classes contact the Knoy Resource Center at Cloverdale High School at 765-795-2495 ext. 5562.

The Knoy Resource Center is a community collaborative pilot project to increase educational and workforce preparedness skills in Putnam County. For information about supporting this and other Putnam County Community Foundation activities, contact Elaine Peck or Eric Wolfe at 866.653.4978.

Where was this when I was in school?

www.TheEasyEssay.com is a free site that can teach almost anyone how to organize an essay in 5 min. and is ideal for SAT, ACT, FCAT or essay exams, reports, or in any situation where you need to logically prove an idea.

www.TheEasyEssay.com, an automated information organization program is also of use for business reports, inter-office communications, special and rehabilitative education, as well as speech organization.

It has been taught to individuals from eight to eighty and been used from elementary education to post graduate work.

As an aid in research, the site is linked to GoogleŽ.

For longer papers it can automatically expand into a 17 paragraph thesis.

The process is usable in any language.

A noted side effect is that users begin to communicate logically.
