David K. Jones

David K. Jones, 66, of Reelsville died on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008.

Mr. Jones was born on Oct. 28, 1942 in Indianapolis to Verlie and Marjorie Martin Jones.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of Avon High School Class of 1960, I.U.PU.I. and was an active member of Big Walnut Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 38 years of service where he was an electrician.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Ginny; two children, Chris Harman and husband John and Darrell Jones and wife Marykay; siblings, Tom Joyce, Ronald O'Dell and wife Jeannie, Linda Boeing and husband Don, Stephen Jones and wife Dianne, Larry Jones, Mary Harman, and Donna Hopkins and husband Roger; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

His parents and sister Carla Morris preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Big Walnut Baptist Church, 5512 West County Road 950 South in Reelsville, with Pastor Mike Goss officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Calling will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home.
