Larry W. King Sr., 71, of Brazil died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.

Mr. King was born March 2, 1937 in Kingsport, Tenn. to Earl M. and Cornie Combs King Martin. On Dec. 31, 1957 he was married to Geneva Samples King in Tennessee.

They celebrated their golden anniversary last year.

He had worked for Pell Roofing and Siding in Brazil for 46 years before retiring in 2003. He also worked for King and Williams Guttering Company for a short time.

In his earlier years he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing and Colts Football.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother at infancy; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife Geneva; children: Wayne King and wife Dottie, Earl King and wife Vicki, Lisa Frazier and husband Larry, Rob King and wife Missy; grandchildren Michelle Tracy and husband Eric, Shawn, T.J., Mike, Jordan and Danielle King, Josh King and wife Sharlene, Brandy Brown and husband Eric, Tiffany King and Whitney King, Cinda Lee and Eddie Lee, Eric, Cameron and Lottie King; great-grandchildren: Jordan and Zach Tracy, Jake, Donovan, Tyler, Jackson Brown, James, Izik and Gracie King, Gavin and Gracen Hoopengardner and Mylah Lee; three sisters Agnes Kinley, Betty Fleenor and June Wagoner and husband George and brother-in-law Tom Samples and wife Maria as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Services will be at French Funeral Home Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.

Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. His grandsons Josh, Shawn, T.J., Mike, Jordan, Ed, Cam and Eric will serve as pall bearers.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.
