Burl Edward White

Burl Edward White, 76, of Brazil died at 3 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at his residence.

He was born in Putnam County April 18, 1932 to Charles and Roxie Brewer White. He married Beverly Jenkins Feb. 8, 1994.

Mr. White served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve from June 1953 to June 1961. He had been employed as a carpenter. He was a member of VFW and American Legion Post #2 and Carpenters Union #859.

He is survived by his wife; one son, David White and wife Susan of Brazil; two sisters, Carolyn Pettit and husband Dick of Greencastle and Wanda Johnston and husband Harry of Palm Bay, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Bob Jenkins and wife Wanda of Knightsville and Bill Jenkins and wife Carolyn of Harmony; sister-in-law, Linda Sanders of Knightsville and three grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, his body will be cremated and his ashes buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
