Ruby B. Stringer

Ruby B. Stringer, 93, of Greencastle passed away Friday, Nov. 28 at Putnam County Hospital.

Born May 25, 1915 in Putnamville, she was the daughter of Roscoe T. and Myrtle Hill Moore. She attended Putnamville School until her senior year when she graduated from Greencastle High School class of 1933. She married Eugene Stringer on June 10, 1935 and he preceded her in death June 24, 1986.

Mrs. Stringer had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Putnamville United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women's group at the church.

Survivors include her sister, Wilma Combs of Houston, Texas, daughter-in-law, Nancy Stringer of Greencastle and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents; two sons, an infant Donald Eugene Stringer and Thomas Stringer; a granddaughter, Lisa Thies; and a brother, Floyd R. Moore.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with the Rev. Valerie Best officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
