Clovers finish seventh
The Cloverdale boys' basketball team competed in the Graber Post Buildings Classic at North Daviess High School recently.
The Clovers lost in the first round to host North Daviess 58-39 and then lost to Eastern on Friday 50-38.
Saturday proved to be fruitful for Cloverdale as they defeated Washington Catholic 76-61 to secure seventh place in the tourney.
Junior guard Brandon Moon was selected as a member of the All-Tournament team as well.
In the championship game, 5'11 senior guard Jeramy Lucas, led South Knox with a season-high 27 points to lead all scorers and earn the tournament's MVP Award. Barr-Reeve hit two buzzer beater 3-point shots to force each overtime period, the first by junior guard Trey Hughes, who led the Viking with 24 points, and the next one by senior guard Ethan Knepp.
North Daviess upset Class 2A honorable mention Brownstown Central to win the third Place game 42-38. Eastern-Greene won the fifth place game, 48-34 over Southwestern-Hanover
The Clovers will be back in action Jan. 16 when they host Cascade at 7:30 p.m.
