Cloverdale cattle breeders exhibit two national champions

Wilson exhibited the Grand Champion Chianina Bull, WCC Gunsmoke 365T 1CM, at the 2008 ACA National Show Nov. 19 in Louisville, Ky. Among those pictured are Mallorie Blankenship, ACA National Queen and Judge Chan Phillips.

Platte City, Mo. -- Wilson Cattle Company, Cloverdale, exhibited two National Champions and one Reserve National Champion at the 2008 ACA National Show Nov. 19 in Louisville, Ky. The Grand Champion Chiangus Female was WCC Miss Rattle 362S 1CA. The May 15, 2006 daughter of KF Precision showed with a bull calf at side and is co-owned with Ross Hyatt, Clay City. She was also named the Chiangus Cow/Calf Division Champion.

Wilson Cattle Company also exhibited the Grand Champion Chianina Bull, WCC Gunsmoke 365T 1CM. The May 3, 2007 son of WCC Valentino P113 was also the Chianina Summer Yearling Bull Champion. The Reserve Grand Champion Chianina Bull was WCC Easy Rider 350U 1CM, a March 8, 2008 son of Hannibal. The bull was also named the Chianina Early Junior Bull Calf Champion.

The ACA National Show was held in conjunction with the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky. Chan Phillips, Maysville, Ky., evaluated 189 head of Chi-influenced cattle in the two-division show.
