Putnam County Museum to host Favorite Sports Memories

Steve Fields, former sports editor at the Banner Graphic, will be presenting some of his Favorite Sports Memories through a series of panel discussions beginning Saturday.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will be a commentary of basketball highlights from Putnam County. The following Saturday, Fields will be discussing volleyball and track at 11 a.m.

The museum is currently accepting votes for the Greatest Sports Legend of Putnam County. Ballots are available at the museum or people can email their vote to museum2@co.putnam.in.us. The winner will be announced during the presentation on the 17th.

Former greats such as Larry Steele, Lisa Allen, Brian Bridgewater, Bruce Bridgewater, Chad Tucker and Jess McAnally are just a few of the nominees. Write-in votes are also permitted.
