Ralph Lee Delp, 74, Frostproof, Fla., formerly of Greencastle died on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at Florida Hospital Heartland Division in Sebring, Fla.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1935 in Mulberry to LeRoy and Fern Elvira Britan Delp. He graduated from New Market High School and served in the Indiana National Guard. He married Margaret Carol Carothers in Alamo. They resided in Lizton and Harrison, Ohio until he retired as a teamster truck driver from Dennis Trucklines.

Mr. Delp enjoyed the family farm, driving high school youth to special

activities and serving young and old in every Christian church where he was a member. He went on several mission trips to Panama, Mexico and Haiti. He was a lifetime NRA member.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Delp of Frostproof, Fla., sons Daniel Delp and wife Theresa of Shelbyville and Douglas Delp and wife Kristi of Moberly, Mo., five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers Kenny, Don and Jay Delp and two sisters Helen and Eleanor Delp

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Brother Russell Lieb and Matthew Delp presiding. Burial will follow at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.

Calling will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will also be held at Frostproof Christian Church at a later date.
