Sheriff's Department

Donald Barger, Greencastle, was traveling east on County Road 300 South at 3:10 p.m. Sunday when slush in the road pulled Barger's vehicle into a fence. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Melissa Snapp, Plainfield, was traveling north on State Road 231 at 8:53 a.m. Sunday when she returned her attention to the road from talking; her vehicle was going off the road. She jerked the wheel causing the back of her vehicle to strike the guardrail. No injuries were reported at the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Terry Rising, Poland, was attempting to pass another motorist on County Road 450 West. His vehicle traveled off the edge of the road and into the snow causing him to hit a tree head on. No injuries were reported at the scene. The accident occurred at 9:22 a.m. Saturday. Seniours Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Michael Sebanc, Greencastle, was traveling west on County Road 600 South at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 27, when a deer entered the roadway. Due to snowy road conditions, Sebanc swerved to miss the animal but hit a fence and slid into a field taking out approximately 200 yards of fence. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

Nathan Butner, Amo, was traveling west on County Road 200 North at 7:10 a.m. Friday, when a slick spot in the road caused him to travel through approximately 500 feet before striking a Hendricks County Co-Op pole, which broke in half. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Justin Wise, 29, Terre Haute, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 10:43 a.m. Friday for probation violation.

Brian Hendricks, 35, Poland, was booked at 2:51 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating per se and public intoxication.

Scott Austin, 38, Jacksonville, Ala., was booked at 3:22 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

James Russell, 33, Indianapolis, was booked at 11:36 p.m. Saturday for criminal recklessness, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

Robert Stamper, 23, Greencastle, was booked at 4:42 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Richard Woods, 32, Indianapolis, was booked at 3:49 p.m. Monday for non-support of a child.
