GHS freshmen fall to Plainfield

The Greencastle freshman basketball team dropped a contest to Plainfield 47-24 Monday night.

Greencastle trailed 23-10 at the half; the young Tiger Cubs outscored the Quakers 14-13 in the third period to trail by twelve at the end of three. A stifling Plainfield defense and poor shooting hampered the Tiger Cubs in the fourth.

Jesse Tesmer led the Tiger Cubs with eight points and nine rebounds. Trevor Huber played strong second-half defense on Plainfield's Eli Wheeler. Wheeler had 15 points at the half, but was held scoreless in the second half.

In one quarter of B-team action, Greencastle defeated Plainfield 9-5. Dylan Linton led the Tiger Cubs in scoring with four points.
