The North Putnam Middle School swim teams faced Southmont, with the girls falling 86-66 and the boys falling 85-56.

The girls had seven first place finishers, one of which set a record in the process.

Halsey Foltz captured two events on the night. She won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 30.06 and set a record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:17.16. Teammate Caroline Byrd also won two races on the night, taking the 100-yard IM in a time of 1:16.06 and the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 32.60.

Molly Wilcox took the 100-yard freestyle with the time of 1:12.84 and Ellese Cox won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:40.85. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Foltz, Wilcox, Byrd and Tia Scoggan paced the field in a time of 2:09.10.

In the boys contest, two individuals and one relay team got wins on the night.

Jacob Hendershot won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.73 and Zach Moore won the diving event with a dive total of 118.75. The relay team Ben Huber, Moore, Taylor Thornell and Randy Thorburg took the top spot in the 400-yard freestyle in 5:14.27.

Hendershot placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke, but his time of 1:22.56 set a NPMS record.
