Putnam County Jail

Shaylin White, 22, Noblesville, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 3:34 p.m. Tuesday for possession of paraphernalia.

Jonathon Davidson, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday for probation violation.

Kenneth Chadwell, 39, Roachdale, was booked at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday for battery.

Michael Snodgrass, 37, Greencastle, was booked at 1:50 a.m. Thursday for probation violation and public intoxication.

Several accidents were reported by motorists caught off-guard by icy road conditions Saturday.

Elmer Fox, Osgood, was traveling west on Interstate 70 at 5:15 a.m. Thursday when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle jackknifed into the median. There was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Robert Richardson, Fillmore, was traveling west on C.R. 300S at 7:46 p.m. Saturday, when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox and possibly a tree. According to the accident report, alcohol was a factor and Richardson fled the scene on foot. Once apprehended by law enforcement, his blood alcohol tested a .12 and he was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior, public intoxication, leaving the scene of an accident and probation violation. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Christopher Compton, Terre Haute, was traveling on C.R. 400 at 11:30 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Michael Trevino, Newburgh, approached the intersection of U.S. 40 and U.S. 231 when he was unable to make the stop due to icy road conditions. Trevino's vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by David Alspaugh, New Market, which was stopped at the intersection. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Trevino's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages. The accident occurred at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

Pucong Han, Greencastle, was traveling east on S.R. 240 at 12:30 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. The vehicle overturned in a resident's yard. Passenger Zhao Zhetac was injured in the accident, according the report. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Mark Deaton, Poland, was traveling north on C.R. 550W just north of the Putnam/Clay county line when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Deaton's vehicle traveled left of center as it rounded a curve and struck a vehicle driven by Patricia Evans of Poland, who was traveling south. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed Evan's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. The accident occurred at 1:35 p.m. Saturday.

Barry Mason, Plainfield, was traveling south on S.R. 231 at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday when he struck a vehicle driven by Mark Girton of Reelsville. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene.

Sheryl Hall, Cloverdale, was traveling east on C.R. 1000S at 2:26 p.m. Saturday when her vehicle began sliding due to icy road conditions. The vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment, which caused it to roll on its top. Hall and her passenger, a child in a car seat, were able to exit the vehicle without apparent injuries. Cloverdale Fire personnel assisted at the scene. Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Julia Jenkins, Sellersburg, was traveling west on S.R. 236 at 11:40 a.m. Saturday when she lost control of her vehicle due to slick road conditions. The vehicle slid over a guardrail, down a hill and struck several trees before coming to a stop. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Mark Williams, Ladoga, was traveling on C.R. 1000 N at 8:25 a.m. Monday when a deer entered the roadway. William's was unable to avoid colliding with the animal. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.
