For all of those who remember Jessica Canary tearing up the hardwood at South Putnam, she's doing much of the same at the college level.

In her third year at the University of Indianapolis, Canary led her team to the Division II Sweet 16, the furthest the team has ever made it in the tournament.

In game one against Hillside, Canary drained a three-pointer with just 3.7 left on the clock for the win. In game two against Quincy, who was ranked ninth in the country, she put up a career high of 33 points.

The Greyhounds lost their third game of the tournament to Michigan Tech Tuesday night. Canary scored 11 points against the Huskies.

The Big Dance wasn't the only place Canary was making some noise. Throughout the season, she has been named to the DII All-Conference for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Team, the DII ESPN Academic All-Region (Midwest) Team, named the Disney Tip-Off Classic Most Valuable Player and named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.

Canary finished the 2008-09 season second on the team in scoring with a 14.5 per game average. She also ranked first in rebounds per game with 5.5 and her 43 steals were second best on the team. In addition, she led the Greyhounds in blocks with 18 and in three-point percentage, connecting on 41 percent from behind the arc.

The Greyhounds ended the season with a record of 24-9.
