Sheriff's Department

Deborah Bricker, Kokomo, was traveling west on Interstate 70 at 6:40 p.m. Sunday when she apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and into a ditch. Curtis Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Lawrence Williams, Brownsburg, was traveling west on U.S. 40 at 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle left the roadway, struck a street sign and traveled nearly a mile before stopping. Seniours Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

David Mack, Camden, was traveling south on U.S. 231 when he approached the intersection at Beagle Club Road. A vehicle driven by Daniel Webb, Indianapolis, struck Mack's trailer as he entered the intersection. Both drivers stated they had the green light at the time of the accident. Steele's Wrecker Service towed Webb's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages. The accident occurred at 9:10 a.m. Saturday.

Larry Foulke, Cloverdale, was attempting to turn his motorcycle around at the intersection of CR 550S and CR 25E when the bike fell over to the right. Foulke was partially pinned under the motorcycle. There was less than $750 in damages. The accident occurred at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Putnam County Jail

The following arrests have been made recently.

David Mattox, 53, West Terre Haute, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 11:28 a.m. Friday for public intoxication.

Brian Doane, 26, Reelsville, was booked at 1:47 p.m. Friday for probation violation.

Brian Carrington, 27, Bainbridge, was booked at 1:58 p.m. Friday for operating while intoxicated.

James Steele, 55, Cloverdale, was booked at 2:53 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, public intoxication and operating per se.

Daniel Cull, 27, Cloverdale, was booked at 6:51 p.m. Saturday for public intoxication.

Jessica Cull, 25, Cloverdale, was booked at 7:09 p.m. Saturday for operating while intoxicated.

Joshua McAfee, 24, Greencastle, was booked at 2:11 a.m. Sunday for mischief and public intoxication.

Charles Johns, 28, Greencastle, was booked at 3:44 a.m. Sunday for battery.

Joseph Boyd, 55, Greencastle, was booked at 4:57 p.m. Sunday for public intoxication.

Clyde Hatfield, 41, Jacksboro, Tenn., was booked at 6:06 p.m. Sunday for probation violation.

Charles McCarty, 34, W. Lafayette, was booked at 1:05 p.m. Monday for violating terms of bond.

Kenneth Woolford, 40, Reelsville, was booked at 2:08 p.m. Monday for probation violation.

Russell Williams, 35, Greencastle, was booked at 4:55 p.m. Monday for violation of home detention.

Brian Branagin, 33, Greencastle, was booked at 11:21 p.m. Monday for violation of home detention.

Gale Williams, 55, Greencastle, was booked at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday for failure to stop after an accident and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Cory Eiseman, 19, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday for residential entry and trespassing.

Greencastle Fire Department

Greencastle Fire crews were called to the Dunbar Bridge area at 6:01 p.m. Friday for a smoke investigation. The fire was due to burning trash. It was extinguished and they were back in service at 6:38 p.m.

On Saturday at 2:09 p.m., crews were called to 17 W. Franklin St. for a car fire, which was caused by a fuel leak. They were back in service at 2:27 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 101 Cassida Drive at 8:15 p.m. Saturday to assist Operation Life with a possible broken arm. They were back in service at 8:24 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Walden Inn, 2 W. Seminary St., at 7:08 p.m. Sunday for a report of smoke coming from the bar area caused by an overheated compressor motor. They were back in service at 7:43 p.m.

On Monday at 2:26 p.m., crews were dispatched to 316 Medic Way for a medical assist. They were back in service at 2:34 p.m.

A "good intent" call was received at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday to Jackson Street near Alex Alley. Crews found Butler's LP was working on the system. They were back in service at 11:23 a.m.

At 7:02 p.m. Tuesday, crews were dispatched to 106 Spring St., but were disregarded by DePauw University security. The alarm was accidentally set off. They were back in service at 7:05 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 105 W. Hannah St., at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday for an alarm set off by a car accident at the intersection of Hannah and Jackson streets. A vehicle struck the power pole causing the alarm to sound. Crews assisted at the accident scene until Duke Energy arrived to repair the damaged pole. They were back in service at 8:38 a.m.
