Lucy Boyle, Dorothy Higgins, Thelma Sloan, Hameta Crooks, Garnett McCullough, Vaundice Newton and Juanita Cottingim show off the quilt the group is offering at a raffle to raise money for the Putnam County Senior Center Food Pantry. The women all reside at Hickory Creek at Sunset.

A group of residents at Hickory Creek at Sunset are offering a gorgeous quilt that anyone can have a chance to win simply by buying a raffle ticket.

The quilt was donated anonymously to a group of residents at Hickory Creek at Sunset with the understanding they could do whatever they wanted with it. They decided to sell tickets and raffle it off and donate the money to the food pantry at the Putnam County Senior Center.

The quilt is a beautiful hand stitched piece with multiple colors and a blue border. The group was unsure what the exact pattern is called and named it "the eclectic quilt."

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased by stopping by or calling Hickory Creek at Sunset. They are located at 1109 S. Indiana Street, Greencastle.

Tickets will be available for one month and culminate in a drawing. Call 765-653-3143 for details.
