Marilyn Wilson, 85, of Crawfordsville died Monday, March 23, 2009.

She was born May 3, 1923 in Chicago to Sigmund Ablam and Florence Staywicki Ablam. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago. She married William Howard Wilson and he preceded her in death in August 1990.

Mrs. Wilson had been an elementary art teacher in Ladoga, Roachdale, Russellville and Bainbridge for 25 years. She resided in Roachdale for 41 years before moving to Crawfordsville in 1987.

She was a member of Roachdale Presbyterian Church, charter member of Delta Theta Tau of Roachdale and the Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by her sons, Gregg Wilson and wife Susan of Chicago and Kimball Wilson and partner Ayn Baltazar of Hollywood, Calif.; daughters Barb Wilson and partner Pam Myers of Crawfordsville, Lori Wilson of Indianapolis and Dianne Bratton and husband Andy of Kendall, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. John Van Nuys officiating. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery.

Calling will be from noon to the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
