Everett Glotzbach

Everett J. Glotzbach, 94, of Fowler, formerly of Earl Park, died on Monday, March 23, 2009 at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 8, 1914 in Fowler to the late William and Emma Pilotte Glotzbach. He graduated from Sacred Heart grade school in Remington and attended Gilboa High School.

On Dec. 29, 1942, he married Margaret Spangler in Earl Park, and she survives.

Mr. Glotzbach farmer until 1960, then was a fertilizer salesman until retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and the Holy Name Society, and was a charter member of the Earl Park community Lions Club.

Also surviving are his children, Keith Glotzbach and wife Jean of Fowler, Rita Singer and husband Melvin of Lafayette and Lois Peterson and husband Phil of Greencastle; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by twin grandsons, five brothers and three sisters.

A funeral mass was held Friday, March 27 at St. John the Baptist Church, Earl Park, with Fr. Robert Bernotas officiating. Burial was at St. John Cemetery, Earl Park.
