Raymond Hardwell Jackson Jr., 57, of Indianapolis, formerly of Cloverdale, died on Monday, March 30, 2009 in Indianapolis.

He was born in Hialeah, Fla. on Dec. 17, 1951 and was the son of Raymond Hardwell Jackson Sr. and Anna Stift Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a member of the Christian Science Church and was a maintenance man in heavy equipment.

He is survived by his children, Tara Ellen-Anise Gardner of Fillmore and Taulbee Ray Jackson of Cloverdale; five grandchildren; mother Anna Stift of Burgaw, N.C.; and sister Janice Lorraine Strojie of Sanford, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother Robert Graham Jackson.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Cloverdale Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
