Cougars trounce Trojans, 15-6

The Cougars' baseball team picked up a big win Saturday, crushing Covington 15-6.

North Putnam collected 13 hits with Tyler Watson leading the way, going 2-for-4 with two home runs; a three run shot and a grand slam.

Mitchell Crum and Jerrett Ban each went 2-for-4 for the day as well. Kyle Alcorn and Scott Hunt went 2-for-5 also.

Brock Jones went the distance for North Put, giving up six hits and six runs, four of which were earned. He also struck out one batter while walking five.

The Cougars are back in action on today when they travel to Speedway for a 5 p.m. West Central Conference match up.
