Martha Montgomery

Martha Montgomery, 88, of Greencastle, formerly of Crawfordsville, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at Hickory Creek at Sunset.

She was born July 16, 1920 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Isaac Herrod Montgomery and Edith Rice Montgomery. She was a graduate of New Richmond High School and Lafayette Business College.

Miss Montgomery was retired from Wabash College. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Crawfordsville and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Windler of Fowler and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother Robert Montgomery and sister, Mrs. Warren Harshbarger.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Strain officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
