Eagles defeat Bulldogs

The South Putnam baseball team tamed the Bulldogs of Monrovia Wednesday 12-5.

Freshman Rob Gibson was instrumental in the win, knocking two shots over the fence to pace the Eagle offense.

On the mound, Noah Boswell was equally impressive, pitching a complete game and collecting two walks, six hits and 15 strikeouts.

Cameron Chestnut continued to abuse the bases, stealing five on the night and moving within one stolen base of South Putnam's single season record of 18.

The Eagles will host Monrovia today at 5 p.m.
