Fun Times at Relay for Life

Monday, April 27, 2009
Each year, Relay for Life provides not only hope and much-needed funding for the fight against cancer, it also provides a community event for the whole family. Saturday's warm weather provided a reminder to children that the freedom of summer is just around the corner. Above, Taylor Hensley, 7, has a rainbow painted on her face by Christiane Shrader, who was with the Greencastle High School student council Relay For Life team. Taylor's reason for relaying: Her grandmother is a three-year survivor of breast cancer. She is the daughter of Laurie and Robert Hensley. Below, a little boy already in full paint air drums to the Mike and Joe performance during Relay For Life Saturday. The Mike and Joe band is from Indianapolis and performed live for the Relay crowd.
