Cougars fall to Warriors

Indianapolis -- The North Putnam High School baseball team lost 6-4 on the road Saturday to Covenant Christian.

The Cougars collected nine hits with Scott Hunt and Kyle Alcorn both going 2-for-4 for the day while Jerrett Ban, Brock Jones and CJ Lofton all had singles.

Tyler Watson started on the mound for the Cougars, pitching one inning, giving up five runs on five hits. Reece Herron came in for relief and allowed one run on three hits while fanning eight batters.

The Cougars are back in action on Monday when they host South Putnam at 4:30 p.m.
